MINERA TRES VALLES RECOGNIZED AS COMMITTED TO SAFETY

n an event held on Thursday, September 28, in the city of Santiago, CChC Mutual Security (“Mutual de Seguridad”) formally recognized companies that participated in the eighth version of the Hand in Hand (“Mano a Mano”) Campaign.
During the months of June and July of this year, Minera Tres Valles launched various activities that focused on preventing hand injuries within the workplace. Employees participated in reflection workshops and safety messages while inspections were also made throughout the mine site; all these activities were part of the campaign that was promoted by CChC Mutual Security.
The 2018 version of the Hand in Hand Campaign had a total of 3,068 companies, with over 5,000 locations, participate. Among those, Tres Valles stood out as having a strong commitment to safety and was thereby recognized in a formal event. The award was received by Sebastián Cortés, Tres Valles’ Sustainability Manager, alongside the Vice President of Corporate Relations, Rafael Pérez de Arce.
Sebastián Cortés stressed that “this award makes us profoundly proud, as Minera Tres Valles includes safety within its fundamental priorities. This recognition tells us that we are doing things well, encouraging us to keep working hard in accident prevention in order to protect each and every one of our workers.
