CEREMONY TO RECOGNIZE OUTSTANDING WORKERS
AND ONE YEAR WITHOUT LOST-TIME ACCIDENTS
Wednesday March 30, we came together to celebrate an important milestone in safety and occupational heath at Minera Tres Valles. At the beginning of March of this year, Tres Valles completed one consecutive year without any lost-time accidents. This accomplishment was reached thanks to the commitment that all of the workers at Tres Valles have shown towards safety and occupational health.
In order to commemorate the achievement of this important goal, the Department of Safety and Occupational Health gave out awards to four workers, two from the mine and two from the plant, for the outstanding commitment they have shown to safety in their work. They were selected based on their commitment to the company’s safety policy, the value they give to personal safety, responsibility on their assigned tasks, teamwork, communication with their superiors, and their concern for their personal safety as well as the safety of their coworkers.
As an incentive to all of the employees to continue working with such high standards of safety, every three months four employees will be chosen for this prize. Security is the number one concern at Tres Valles and it is important to give thanks to our outstanding employees and their commitment and achievements to this area.
During the same ceremony, Arturo Díaz, Client Manager IV Region for Mutual de Seguridad, formally presented Tres Valles’ Comité Paritario with their Silver-level Certificate, recognition of the management and commitment of the company in the area of safety and a promise to continue improving each day.
This achievement requires us to be more rigorous, cautious, and concerned about how we carry out our work to make sure all operations are as secure as possible. A fundamental commitment and goal at Tres Valles is to always have zero lost-time accidents, a goal that today we continue to fulfill.
