BASIC CARDIO PULMONARY RESUSCITATION AND USE OF A DEFIBRILLATOR IN AN EMERGENCY

The Three Valleys Mining Company adheres to its Occupational Health and Safety Policy by providing its personnel with training in occupational health matters. They have successfully trained and certified 19 workers through an external technical organization in the course of “Basic Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and Use of a Defibrillator in an Emergency”.

The company is committed to training 100% of its organization by the year 2024, through the knowledge of already accredited workers.

It’s noteworthy that the company has in-site two AED (automated external defibrillator) equipments, which will be placed in the First Aid Room area and in the Control Room of the SX Area.

By doing so, MTV (Three Valleys Mining Company) is complying with the requirement defined by the 56th Decree of the Regulations, which obligates all establishments and/or venues to have portable AED equipment as per Law 21.156 of 2020.

The course’s purpose is to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to identify a “Sudden Cardio Arrest” and perform basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers, along with the correct use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED) in an emergency.
