Team lead lawyer, with extensive experience in negotiations, community and social issues in mining and government matters, experience in environmental permits and mining easements, contract management and documentary analysis.His vast experience includes teaching and consulting work for the Tres Valles Project at the beginning of Vale’s operations in Chile.
He was responsible for monitoring compliance with community commitments and easements, providing legal support to the environmental department. He was also in charge of establishing the framework between the Mining Association of Salamanca and Vale; and he led the team that solidified the ore purchase agreement from third parties on behalf of Vale.
After his time with Vale, his work in the public sector included the Ministry of National Assets of Chile as well as the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security.
